Hello, here are my recordings for this week. In first one I first one is TV show called The Simpsons and second one is movie called JAWS. I had to practise little bit because I was quite slow, for example I started some sentence and I can´t finish it because the scene was already gone. But I am glad that I used some "good" words for example instead of happy I used excited, or I came up with words broadcast, widow etc. You can find link for The Simpsons video below.

WEEK 9
Hi, this is my first recording of picture description. I think I´ve come up with some good ideas but I sound quite unsure, I make lot of "eee" pauses and whole recording has slow pace. So I listened to my recording about three times and recorded my second try. You can find it below. Also I was repeating few words for example "some" too much.
I think I sound more confident and I corrected some grammar mistakes (for example preposition in sentence "at bottom right hand corner"). Also I didn´t make so much pauses.
As my individual task I´ve downloaded a picture on the Internet and describe it. You can find this picture below recoding.

week 8
Hi, here is my short excerpt of TV show called Drop Dead Diva. I have never watched this show but the scene seemed to me quite funny and easy to remember.
Unfortunatelly, I didn´t know how to upload whole video, so I wrote down whole dialogue. You can find the beggining of it below the recording.
-Hey sweetie! Have you seen my...
Engagement ring? Yes, like a houndred and one times. And it is gorgeous!
-It is, georgeous! But I was going to ask you if you have seen my fiancé?
Owen left about an hour ago. He had an early meeting. So, now that you are awake, I´ve downloaded a to do list from iamengaged.com. Are you ready?
-Oh, I am ready! Number one, have you created your wedding blog?
-Of course! It is personal, interactive and it is linked to the guest book....
I really enjoyied this exercise so I think it sounds quite good, of course not as good as original. On the other hand, I think I still have problem with stress.
As my individual task I have prepared short article which we practised in our KOFA lessons. I focused on schwa.

WEEK 7
Hi, this is my practise of intonation, speed, pauses etc.
So main problem for me was to keep same speed as in original recording. But after few tries I think I solved this problem and that the speed is quite same as in original. Intonation wasn´t big deal for me neither the pauses, I could catch my breat during them.
As my individual task I´ve prepared five sentences with British and American pronunciation because I´ve enjoyed this exercise a lot last time.

WEEK 6
Hello, this is my recording of British and American pronunciation. Thanks to this exercise I found out that I mix these two together when I speak. I think that I will focus on British pronunciation because I think American pronunciation is quite "exaggerated". I think this was the funniest exersice of all and I really enjoyed it. You can find list of my sentences below.
Brother set car on fire on Tuesday morning.
He bought 30 bottles of tomato juice.
Bartender has a nice beard.
NY is a big city.
Hunter chased bird and butterfly.
As my individual task I looked up few words which are different in British and American English. Again, I found out that I am unconsciously using for example American words. British / American
Put on a jumper / sweater.
He rides a lorry / truck.
The starte was delicious / The Appetizer was delicious.
He is in the garden / yard.
He is on holiday / vacation.

WEEK 6
Hello, this is my recording of strong and weak words.
Now I know that strong and weak form depends on meaning of sentence. I was not sure about sentence "His first name´s Jack, but I don´t know his second name." I put strong form on second "his" because I think that is important (he don´t know his second name) so I hope it is correct. I also tried to use my connected speech from previous task. After that task it was more natural and I didn´t have to focus on it so much. Also I am sorry for bad quality of recording, I will fix it till the next task.
As my individual task I have prepared advice on how to make quick honey pie. I was always saying "I will give you an advice" so thanks to this task I wrote to my mind that word advice is uncountable so I must say "some advice" instead of "an advice".

Connected speech
Hello, this is my recording of practising connected speech.
I hope that after practising connected speach I would be able to understand native speakers or lyrics of my favourite songs. Now I know that the strange word I hear in lyrics can be consisted of two words or more and when I focus on pronunciation I can guess the word. I didn´t have many problems with this exercise, maybe little with the sentence "dinner‘s_in the kitchen" because I still pronounced "s" at the end instead of "z".
As my individual task I listened to my favourite song HAPPY by Pharrell Williams and chose some examples from the text.
what I’m about to say
talking this and that
give me
what you want to do
without a roof

Hello, this is my second recording of the word list + individual task.
I was really careful around the problematic words like hotel, aunt and analysis.I am glad that I have no more problems with pronunciation of word "event". After first recording the right pronunciation comes automatically. As my individual task I was practising "voiceless th" sound. I found some words on the Internet, listened to right pronunciation and then recorded them. I also watched "TH" Pronunciation video with Dave Sconda on YouTube.
Here is the list of my "th" words:
thin
thing
thirsty
healthy
earth
north
south
both
fifth
path

Word list
Hello, this is my recording of the word list.
My pronunciation of some words was different from "the right pronunciation" (words like course, event, sunbathing ) so I had to search them on the Internet and memorize the right pronunciation. When I listened to my recording, I noticed that I still make some mistakes. For example in word theory I should practise "th" sound. The hardest word for me was "event", because I thought that pronunciation is with "i" at the beginning.

Hello, this is my first recording:
I am glad that I actually heard myself, I think I should work on my pronunciation because it can be easily recognized that English is not my native language. I think I was not speaking fluently. I was quite shy despite the fact that I was at home and alone so I should improve myself because in future I will be speaking in front of people (all those "ee" pauses). I am worried that I failed in translation of czech cup tournament but I am not sure. Also sentence "I am really bad in music" sounds strange.
